SAVE THIS IF YOU’RE VISITING HUE ✨

📍Hue, Vietnam 🇻🇳

Many people decide to skip Hue and I honestly don’t understand why.

This city has monuments of significant importance to the country. Hue was once the old imperial capital of unified Vietnam. A hub of cultural, political, and social activities during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1845).

I would recommend to stay at least for 2 - 3 nights in order to see all the highlights. THESE ARE THE THINGS TO SEE & DO IN HUE:

- Visit the Imperial City

- Check at least these 3 Royal Tombs: Khai Dinh Tomb; Minh Mang Mausoleum; Tu Duc Tomb.

- Go on an adventure to see an abandoned water park (swipe left to see what I mean 🐉).

- Walk around town and find a spot near the river to drink a Huda (Vietnamese famous beer produced and bottled in Hue).

- Navigate the “Perfume River” in one of the famous colorful dragon boats.

- Walk around Dong Ba Market (main market in Hue).

- Explore the complex of Thien Mu Pagoda

- Go for a karaoke session or/and a boogie at one of the night clubs in any of the party streets.

🍜 WHAT TO EAT

- Try Com Hen and Che Bap on Con Hen Island.

- Drink Ca Phe Muoi (salt coffee)

- Eat Bun Bo Nam Bo at @nookeateryhue

- Devour a street burger at Leu Hamburgers.

💤 WHERE TO SLEEP

For my stay in Hue I chose @thechumboutique ♥️ This unique and very elegant boutique hotel is located right in the center of the city. I loved spending time in my room - the bathtub was fantastic 🛁🫧 The decor is stunning and the stuff very helpful at all times. Another perk of staying here is that at night, the area is surrounded by incredible street food. I can’t recommend this hotel enough 😍

MOMENTS OF AUGUST ✨

Last month flew by. I have embraced change, I’ve worked towards it. I have also been able to have a more stable sleep schedule and I found peace and calm, in general.

This last month I landed the largest number of collaborations for my blog in only 48h and I received incredible news about my tours for 2024 (still way too early to share, but I will eventually🙏🏼).

I would have loved to continue my stay in Hoi An, but instead, I sang my last songs, said my goodbyes and packed my bags. Work awaits for me in a different continent, and it is time to start moving.

9. Last open mic at @bungalowbeachbar probably the best night shared with old and new friends - perfect farewell.
10. Saying goodbye to the family that runs the homestay where I stayed for 2 months and 2 weeks in Hoi An.

📍Playa Carrizalillo, Puerto Escondido, Mexico 🇲🇽

During my months in Mexico, I explored the coast of Oaxaca and I realized how difficult it was to choose one beach only. They’re all wonderful and so different. I have several favorites, but if you ask me about one not to miss, I’ll probably say Playa Carrizalillo.

An almost hidden paradise-looking beach, full of palm trees, white sand and gorgeous turquoise water await for those visitors who go down the many stairs to chill in this stunning place. It is also the perfect spot for surf beginners.

I can’t stress enough how much slow-travel has changed my life and the way I see the world.

Over the last 3 years, I’ve noticed that the travel experiences I’ve enjoyed the most, are the ones I had the opportunity to stay longer in a destination and therefore I was able to take my time to enjoy places, talk to locals, savor the food and learn deeply about new cultures.

4 weeks. Counting down the days to go back to one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited during my travels. I can’t wait to be back to Marrakesh and start the first group tour in Morocco 🇲🇦

The day I finally got to visit Jemaa el-Fnaa Square will forever remain in my memory. Watching the sunset from a terrace, overlooking Marrakesh’s main square, was always a dream of mine. I feel blessed I got to do this last January 🥰

THE PERFECT 4 DAYS ITINERARY IN HOI AN ✨

📍Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳

Planning to visit Hoi An? I got you! After my two months stay in the city, these are all the things you shouldn’t miss!

👉🏼 DAY 1

am. Stroll around the old town in the early morning before is too hot. Try the artisanal coffee and the iced herbal tea (Mót). Visit the monuments and temples. Check out the markets and the Precious Heritage Museum.

pm. Go on a sunset cruise along the Thu Bon River and release a lantern. Grab a bite at the Night Market in the island of An Hoi.

👉🏼 DAY 2

am. Join a sunrise tour to My Son Archeological Site. Visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village on your way back to the city.

pm. Get a bike and go see the paddy fields and observe the water buffalos. Come back to town to make your own lantern in a local workshop. Visit a tailor. Continue exploring more street food options (do not miss Bánh Mì and Cao Lầu)

👉🏼 DAY 3

am. Join a tour to jump on the coconut or bamboo boats and attend a cooking class.

pm. Get a massage. At night, get your tickets to watch the “Hoi An Memories” show.

👉🏼 DAY 4

am. Join a Sunrise paddleboarding session. After breakfast, take a half day trip to the Cham Islands for some snorkeling or diving.

pm. Come back to chill in Hoi An’s most famous beach “An Bang” and watch the sunset while enjoying a fresh Huda🍺

If you’re looking for an affordable place to stay, check @fusehostels They’ve got two locations in Hoi An (Old Town and Beachside). Their private rooms are incredible (love them so much - check the photos 😍) They also run very cool tours that will help you cover all the highlights. I can’t recommend them enough!
