I can’t believe today marks 9 months of my initially 3 months adventure in Mexico!

Life is so amazing, you really can’t imagine what is awaiting for you when you make an impactful decision and decide to take control of your life!

Out of these months in Mexico, I’ve learned so much about myself, my surroundings, the new country, its wonderful people, its variated culture, its incredible food and so much more! Living here is a never ending process of learning new things and being constantly amazed by the new findings!

This is probably a big statement for me to say.. but I think, nowadays MEXICO IS NUMBER 1 in my favorite countries list! it keeps blowing my mind every day! 🤯

📍Cobá Mayan ruins, Quintana Roo, Mexico 🇲🇽

[life update] Hello friends! I have been a little MIA in stories due to a 24h tommy bug 🤢💩 but I am already feeling way better and hopefully resume work in a few hours!

I have been recently asked if I liked the ruins of Cobá. I surely did. These were the first Mayan ruins I’ve ever visited. You know me, I am passionate about cultures. Even with my face partly cover my facial expression while visiting the archeological area of Cobá was priceless. Cobá has some pretty damn sites and is one of the largest in terms of territory. You can rent bikes or rent a taxi-bike which is the most touristy and funniest thing to do, but despite on how you choose to move around, the ruins won’t disappoint!

Cobá is very close to Playa del Carmen and Tulum, you could visit them in one day from any of this towns! Also, you can stop here on your way to Valladolid, which is a beautiful pueblo mágico in the Yucatan State!

Oaxaca de Juárez is the city that has made me fall completely in love with Mexico ❤️ People watching in front of Santo Domingo’s church is my favorite thing to do! Here is where I can find my favourite street burger in centro (la Cangreburger) 🍔🤤

Sometimes, there are Mariachis singing and playing here too! 💕 Over the 9 months I have been in Mexico, my love for Mariachis has grown immensely.

HERE ARE SOME MARIACHI FACTS:

Mariachis are part of the intangible heritable of the UNESCO

It is said Mariachis were originated in the state of Jalisco.

They are a very integrated in the culture and society events such: baptisms, birthdays, weddings and funerals

The outfit they were is called “charro”

Mexicans often dedicate songs to each other and they send mariachis to their loved ones as a message of love, grief, etc

Happy Monday friends! 🎊🎊

I love this season in Oaxaca, is hot during the day and it rains almost every night. It also rains sometime during the day, but is still sunny and warm! I feel so grateful to live in this amazing city! Only thing I am missing, is owning a volkswagen beetle 😍😂

Here comes a new week to smash our goals, follow our dreams, be purposeful with our actions and create new amazing memories!! 🤩🤩

As many of you, these days I am going through quite a few changes, so I have decided to include exercise as one of my new daily tasks. To me this helps me being present and get the energy I need to start the day!

This will be my new routine:

🔹 6am - wake up and work out
🔹 6:30am - breakfast
🔹 7am - check emails and start with my daily tasks - now will mostly be freelance writing
🔹10:30am - shower
🔹11am - Spanish Classes
🔹 1pm - lunch
🔹 2pm - Spanish Classes
🔹 3pm - little stroll around the neighborhood
🔹4:30pm - more writing
🔹7:30pm - hard stop
🔹8pm - meet friends + needed beer
🔹10pm - bed time + netflix
🔹11:30pm - sleep or die on the next morning 😅🤣

Not every day looks the same, but it is pretty much how it will be for me in the coming weeks, I believe! 😬

This amazing canyon is A MUST in Chiapas 🤩 It is actually the second most visited tourist site in Chiapas after Palenque.

DID YOU KNOW? This Canyon is such a symbol of the state that is actually part of the coat of arms of Chiapas! 🤯

This stunning natural monument is part of the Sumidero Canyon National Park which makes it a protected area in Mexico! While navigating the Grijalva River, you’ll see cliffs in both sides and if you’re lucky enough you’ll be able to see crocodiles chilling in the sun and even monkeys hanging in the large trees of the rainforest that grows in between the cliffs - no photo will make justice to this place 😍
